The Red Cross has disbursed a second round of payments to aid families affected by the tragic accident in Kochani. Due to continued strong public interest in donating, the fundraising appeal remains active. To date, the Red Cross has collected nearly two million euros in donations.

The Red Cross reports that 112,595,482 denars have been raised through their appeal for the Kochani fire victims. An initial payment was previously made to the families of all deceased and injured individuals receiving treatment both domestically and abroad. This second payment provides additional support to the affected families. A total of 60,850,000.00 denars has been distributed from the donated funds across these two payments.

The Red Cross is collaborating with domestic professional institutions, relevant ministries, and the Government to assess the types of damages incurred. This collaboration aims to develop an approach for the continued distribution of collected funds, ensuring timely and effective support for treatment and recovery from the disaster’s consequences.

In partnership with other organizations, the Red Cross continues to provide psychosocial and other support services to the affected population. The fundraising appeal remains open due to ongoing public interest in donating to the cause.
