The Municipality of Centar has initiated the reconstruction of “Debarca” Street, specifically the 220-meter stretch from “Leninova” Street to the “Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu” student dormitory. This project aims to completely rehabilitate 1,700 square meters of the road surface.
In addition to the road work, the project includes the renovation of the sidewalk on one side of the street, covering an area of 1,000 square meters. The municipality has emphasized the deteriorated condition of this section of the street as the primary reason for the reconstruction.
Mayor Goran Gerasimovski stated that the reconstruction aligns with the municipality’s program to improve road infrastructure. He highlighted the municipality’s priority of providing a modern, high-quality road network to enhance traffic safety and convenience.
The project is financed through funds received from the previous Government, totaling 40 million denars. These funds are specifically allocated for the reconstruction of both “Svetozar Marković” and “Debarca” streets. The Municipality of Centar anticipates that the reconstruction works will be completed within a two-month timeframe, adhering to the planned schedule.
