A public prosecutor is investigating an armed shootout near the Bit Pazar Police Station in Skopje that resulted in the death of 31-year-old A.S. from Skopje. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon, a few meters from the police station.

A.S. was rushed to the Clinical Center in Skopje with severe gunshot wounds but died in the operating room despite medical efforts. The Prosecutor’s Office has secured video surveillance from nearby buildings. They have issued orders to identify those involved and fully clarify the event.

Traces have been collected from the scene for further analysis. An autopsy will be performed on the deceased to determine the precise cause of death. The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje states it will continue working to fully clarify the case.
