Proposed Two-Phased Approach to Legal Amendments

Member of Parliament Antonio Miloshoski suggests a two-phased approach to amending laws, prioritizing quick interventions for immediate improvements and a more systematic, intersectoral approach for comprehensive changes. He emphasizes the importance of raising awareness among public figures and those with legal responsibilities regarding the implementation of existing legal norms.

Miloshoski highlighted that issues often stem from the non-application of existing laws rather than flawed legislation itself, citing examples such as catering, licenses, security, and fire protection. He believes that focusing on enforcement and adherence to current regulations is crucial.

Miloshoski reiterated the need for all stakeholders, including the Assembly, media, municipal councils, inspectors, competent institutions, and the opposition, to contribute to increasing awareness of and respect for existing legal norms. He argues that simply adopting best practices from other countries is insufficient if these provisions are not effectively applied.
