Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has declared that the nation’s progress hinges on robust local communities, emphasizing the government’s commitment to local development through significant financial support. Speaking in an address focused on local advancement, Mickoski outlined the critical role of municipalities in building a stable and successful state.

The government has allocated 250 million euros for capital projects across municipalities, backing 829 local initiatives valued at nearly 14 billion denars. These projects encompass crucial areas such as infrastructure, transportation, environmental protection, and energy efficiency, directly impacting the quality of life in local communities.

Mickoski stated that in a dynamic and challenging global landscape, a nation’s strength is derived from the strength of its local communities. He underscored that real progress begins at the local level, citing examples such as improved streets, water supply networks, renovated schools, and thriving local economies as the foundations of a prosperous country.

He also expressed his appreciation to international partners, including the European Union, the United Nations, and the World Bank, acknowledging their vital contributions to the development of local strategies and initiatives. Mickoski emphasized that the state is built from the ground up, starting with each municipality and local community.
