A 28-year-old resident of Prilep, identified as A.M., was arrested last night for driving under the influence of alcohol and violating an active driving ban. The arrest occurred after police stopped the individual in Kavadarci.

At 3:25 a.m. on “7 Septemvri” Street, police officers from the Road Traffic Safety Department at the Kavadarci Police Department stopped a “Mercedes” passenger vehicle with Prilep license plates, driven by A.M. Subsequent testing revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.80 per mille.

Further investigation revealed that A.M. was operating the vehicle despite an existing prohibition from driving a “B” category motor vehicle.

A.M. was taken into custody at the police station. Following a thorough documentation of the case, a criminal complaint will be filed against him under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code for “reckless driving”.
