President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met with Slovenian National Assembly President Urška Klakočar Zupančič, emphasizing commitments to regional unity, economic cooperation, and support for North Macedonia’s EU integration.
Klakočar Zupančič reaffirmed Slovenia’s support, acknowledging the frustration and fears surrounding the lengthy integration process.
Siljanovska-Davkova expressed gratitude for Slovenia’s support, especially after the tragic event in Kočani, and emphasized the need to respect the Copenhagen criteria.
Both presidents expressed satisfaction with bilateral cooperation, partnership in NATO, and joint commitments to regional peace and stability, noting the absence of open issues between the two countries.
They agreed that the EU enlargement policy should avoid bilateralization and special criteria.
