Premiere of the Children’s Play “Living Boredom” at the Macedonian National Theater

The play “Living Boredom” will premiere at the Macedonian National Theater on May 8th at 6:00 PM. This authorial project is created by actresses Biljana Jovanovska, Izabela Jakimova, and Nina Dean, with Biljana Jovanovska also serving as the director.

The play addresses the theme of boredom in modern children and encourages both children and parents to embrace boredom without feeling the need to constantly fill it with activities. The characters, Vanja and Bojana, represent contemporary children who encounter characters from Neverland. They switch places to determine whose time is more boring.

The cast features Goce Andonov, Nina Dean, Izabela Jakimova, Jana Veljanovska, and Biljana Jovanovska (alternate).

The creative team includes Martin Manev (scenography), Oliver Mitkovski (music), Valentina Chonkova (costume design), and Nina Dean (choreography).

“Living Boredom” aims to inspire children to believe in the magic of play and to develop verbal communication skills.

The play is suitable for children aged 5 and older.

A second performance is scheduled for May 9th at 6:00 PM, and tickets are currently available for purchase.

The production is a project of RSM NU Macedonian National Theater and is financed through their own funds.
