A police helicopter, Bell-412 type, from the Air Unit Department operated to extinguish a fire in the municipality of Vasilevo, village of Nivichino, in the Strumica region today. The Ministry of Interior announced that the helicopter made 60 flights.

During the operation, the helicopter dropped more than 80 tons of water on the burning low-stemmed forest.

The fire is still active, and activities to extinguish it are continuing.
