A person has died after being struck by lightning in the village of Mazhuchishte, in the Municipality of Prilep. The incident occurred earlier today, prompting immediate responses from emergency services.

The Crisis Management Center (CMC) received a report about the incident at 17:39 via the 112 emergency number. The caller indicated that the deceased was likely struck by lightning.

Upon receiving the report, the CMC Operations and Coordination Sector promptly notified the Ministry of Interior and Emergency Medical Services to take further action.

The Regional Crisis Management Center (RCMC) Bitola subsequently informed the CMC that the individual from Mazhuchishte had indeed been struck by lightning. The person was transported to Emergency Medical Services in Prilep, where they were pronounced dead.
