Nikoloski from Shtip: Additional investment of 70 million denars to support infrastructure

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski announced strong support for municipalities and additional investments in local infrastructure during a working visit to the municipality of Shtip.

In addition to the government’s direct financial support for projects, the Ministry of Transport is also investing in new projects intended to improve the quality of life for citizens in the municipalities.

For the municipality of Shtip, approximately 70 million denars are being invested in water supply and sewerage systems.

Nikoloski stated that the government will continue to seriously support mayors and municipalities beyond the regular annual budget support.

The Detailed Urban Plan (DUP) for the Kezovica spa is in its final preparation phase, which should unlock numerous opportunities for tourism development, especially spa tourism, creating a weekend settlement plan for the eastern part of the country.

Investments are also being made in the dam project on the Otinja River, which is intended to become a new tourist attraction.

An additional 145 million denars have been secured for the dam project, which is currently underway and expected to be completed next year, with the lake ready for use in the summer of 2027 for both tourism and irrigation purposes.

Nikoloski emphasized that Shtip is a major priority, along with other municipalities like Krabinci.
