Newcastle United’s players celebrated a decisive 3-0 victory in Leicester, strengthening their bid for a top-four Premier League finish, tying them with Chelsea in fourth place.

All three of Newcastle’s goals came in the first half at the King Power Stadium, with Jacob Murphy netting two within the opening 11 minutes. Murphy capitalized on a pass from Tino Livramento in the second minute and later finished a play after Fabien Scher’s shot hit the post. Harvey Barnes, formerly of Leicester, sealed the win in the 34th minute.

Leicester now sits second-to-last, facing a difficult battle to avoid relegation. Newcastle will host Manchester United in the next round, while Leicester will travel to Brighton.
