Traders are now required to publicly display the prices of their products on their official websites. This new regulation, mandated by the Ministry of Economy, aims to increase transparency, foster greater competitiveness, and ultimately lower prices for consumers.
The Rulebook on the method of publishing the prices of goods, prepared by the Ministry of Economy, stipulates that prices must be updated daily by 10:00 AM. In the event of an unintentional technical error, traders have a 24-hour window to rectify the mistake.
Failure to comply with this new regulation can result in fines of up to 10,000 euros.
The measure, however, will not apply to smaller businesses with up to 10 employees. This exemption is intended to ease the burden on smaller market participants.
