A new bell-evangelist has been installed at the Rajchica Monastery, dedicated to St. George, in Debar, with the blessing of Bishop Parthenius.
The new bell, weighing 830 kilograms, was donated by Vladimir Stajić, Honorary Consul of Serbia, and his daughter Angela. It was cast in Serbia and completes the monastery’s set of bells.
The bell’s consecration was performed by Bishop Parthenius, along with clergy, nuns, and believers.
The existing bells, including one from 1850 and another from 1925 gifted by King Alexander I Karadjordjevic, were recently restored. The new bell enhances the monastery’s spiritual heritage, calling people to prayer and joy. Bishop Parthenius prayed for the bell to bring peace and awaken souls, with an inscription on the bell honoring the donors and St. George.
