The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mutsunski, met with French officials Brice Roquefeuil and René Troccaz to discuss bilateral relations and North Macedonia’s European integration process. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries and expressing gratitude for France’s support.
Mutsunski expressed gratitude for the assistance offered by France following the fire in Kochani, as well as for the support from the European Union. He emphasized that this solidarity strengthens the sense of belonging to the Union.
Both parties agreed on the necessity of intensifying contacts and activities between the two countries, with special emphasis on economic cooperation.
Mutsunski welcomed France’s strong support for North Macedonia’s EU integration process. He also acknowledged the role of France and other European countries in strengthening the credibility of the Union in the region, emphasizing that progress by Western Balkan countries increases public confidence in the European perspective.
France’s continuous support for the country’s European integration processes was also highlighted, including the engagement of experts in Macedonian institutions and support for projects involving young people aimed at building mutual trust and tolerance.
