The Municipality of Aerodrom has fined PE “Communal Hygiene – Skopje” 88,000 euros due to ongoing issues with waste collection and public hygiene. According to the Municipality, this action follows numerous warnings and a prolonged period of inadequate service.
Acting Mayor Dejan Miteski stated that the decision was not politically motivated but rather a result of identified shortcomings in the company’s performance. He emphasized that the Municipality receives daily complaints from residents regarding overflowing containers and unsanitary street conditions, despite citizens consistently paying their utility bills.
Miteski asserted that the Municipality of Aerodrom will not tolerate incompetence and irresponsibility. He urged “Communal Hygiene” authorities to take immediate action to ensure a clean environment and prioritize the interests of the citizens.
The Municipality has announced increased supervision and further sanctions for any entity failing to fulfill its responsibilities. They have affirmed their commitment to transparency and advocating for the residents of Aerodrom.
