An SDSM MP, Mile Taleski, questioned the Minister of the Interior, Panche Toshkovski, during a parliamentary session regarding the source of leaked confidential information to Angel Samarakov, a member of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski’s security detail.
Taleski highlighted the seriousness of the situation, emphasizing that Samarakov, caught with evidence of leaking information, is a long-time member of VMRO-DPMNE with close party ties, raising concerns about his position within the Prime Minister’s security team. He also pointed to a previous incident where the head of the Prime Minister’s security allegedly attacked a police officer, suggesting a pattern of problematic behavior within the security apparatus.
Taleski questioned who within the Ministry of Interior provided Samarakov with the confidential information, given his limited access within the structure.
These incidents raise concerns about the security system’s integrity and potential links between individuals in power and criminal elements, demanding accountability, transparency, and immediate investigation to ensure a legal and safe country.
