Halkbank AD Skopje is leading ecological transformation through its HalkEco green platform, marking its fifth anniversary with the “One Million Seedlings for Five Years” project. This initiative aims to combat climate change, reduce CO₂ emissions, and protect biodiversity.

HalkEco, a mobile application, promotes sustainable living by encouraging users to walk, run, or cycle. The platform converts kilometers traveled into tree planting by Halkbank, transforming personal activity into environmental benefit.

Over the past five years, HalkEco has facilitated the planting of over 60,000 trees, renovated public spaces and bridges, and organized ecological events like the Halk Velo Green bicycle race. The bank also invests in education through programs and workshops to raise awareness about sustainable development.

HalkEco embodies a philosophy where Earth Day is not just a symbolic date but an everyday commitment. The platform connects individuals with the mission of reducing their ecological footprint and contributing to greener environments.
