Mountaineer Stojche Pecevski from Veles was found dead on Groot Hill after disappearing the previous night. The Crisis Management Center director, Stojanche Angelov, confirmed the death.

The search effort was led by the Ministry of Interior. Experienced mountaineer and rescuer Nadir Murseli, along with family members, participated in the search overnight.

Helicopter assistance was initially hindered by weather conditions. After the weather improved, a helicopter located the missing mountaineer, who was confirmed to be deceased, just before the Ministry of Interior’s helicopter was scheduled to take off. The cause of death is currently unknown.
