The Sector for Computer Crime is actively investigating and addressing phishing attacks designed to deceive citizens and steal personal or financial information. The Ministry of Interior is informing citizens about this ongoing effort.

These attacks often use fake emails, websites, or social media messages that appear to be from reliable sources like banks, government organizations, or recognizable companies.

Recently, there have been instances of fake invoices sent to employees authorized to make payments in legal entities. These invoices appear to be from managers but originate from fraudulent email addresses.

The Ministry of Interior urges citizens to exercise caution. Avoid opening links or attachments in suspicious emails. Verify the sender’s address, noting that official institutions and companies use official domains. Do not enter personal information like usernames, passwords, or payment card details on questionable websites. Use two-factor authentication for added account security.
