Boban Stefkovski, the mayor of Gazi Baba municipality, hosted an Easter dinner yesterday evening in celebration of the Resurrection of Christ. The event was attended by priests from the Macedonian Orthodox Church, members of Parliament, councilors, and numerous citizens.

During his address, Mayor Stefkovski highlighted the significance of Jesus Christ’s life and resurrection, noting the profound impact on human history. He emphasized that no other figure or event has generated such interest and transformation in the world.

Stefkovski spoke of the unique circumstances surrounding Jesus’s birth, life, and death, including the appearance of a star in Bethlehem and the healing power that emanated from him. He noted Jesus’s ability to heal the sick, correct sinners, and forgive sins, emphasizing that no one before or after has lived with such power.

Furthermore, Mayor Stefkovski referenced the coexistence of citizens from diverse ethnic communities within the municipality. He emphasized the importance of mutual respect for religion and tradition as a foundation for individual and national greatness.

Mayor Stefkovski conveyed a message of unity and support to all citizens, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or other affiliations. He urged them to respect and assist one another, sharing in both sorrow and joy.

The Easter dinner marks the continuation of a new tradition initiated this year, following a previous Iftar gathering with citizens of the Islamic faith for Bayram.
