The Levica party convened its 28th Central Committee session, making key strategic decisions for the upcoming 2025 Local Elections and observing a moment of silence for the Kochani tragedy victims.

The session focused on solidifying Levica’s role as the sole genuine opposition force, adopting a political framework for action aimed at the local elections and an uncompromising stance against the regime. The party highlighted its resilience against pressure and attempts to be co-opted, seeing this resistance as a key strength.

During the session, current MP Sashko Janchev was unanimously appointed to the Levica Presidency, emphasizing public discontent with corrupt political elites and Levica’s commitment to representing the disenfranchised.

Levica declared an end to opportunism and betrayal, vowing to continue its struggle in various arenas, standing with and for the people.
