The natural habitat of lemurs from Madagascar faces ongoing destruction, contributing to their status as one of the world’s most endangered species. However, the Skopje Zoo reports positive developments in their lemur population.
This year, as in previous years, the end of March saw the birth of twin lemurs. Additionally, another female lemur has given birth. This breeding success underscores the matriarchal social structure of lemurs, mirroring their behavior in the wild.
The Skopje Zoo remains dedicated to the conservation of lemurs and to raising public awareness about the importance of preserving this unique species.
