Kisela Voda Municipality Celebrates Patron Saint Day with Extensive Program

The Municipality of Kisela Voda is celebrating its patron saint’s day, St. George’s Day, with a full day of festivities. The celebration includes religious ceremonies, cultural events, and activities for children and adults.

The day began with a holy liturgy in the “St. George” church in Kisela Voda, attended by Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski and many citizens. The gathering in the temple marked the start of the festive day with prayer.

The celebrations continue in “Macedonia” Park, where children from the “Veseli Cvetovi” and “8 Mart” kindergartens are participating in a creative flower workshop. Afterwards, a free theatrical performance of “The Cowardly Lion” will be presented by the theater “Otpishani” for the children’s enjoyment.

In the evening, the “Biljana Belicanec” Cultural Center will host the opening of the art exhibition “St. George’s Day Awakening” by the artist Dragan Kuzmanovski. Film enthusiasts can enjoy a free screening of the animated film “Dogs in the Opera,” aimed at the young residents of the municipality.

Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski emphasized the significance of St. George’s Day for the municipality. He highlighted it as a day to honor tradition, spiritual values, and commitment to the community’s progress. He stated that St. George the Victorious symbolizes courage, faith, and strength, values that are integral to the municipality’s identity and mission. The Mayor invited all residents of Kisela Voda and Skopje to participate in the celebration and share the festive spirit.
