A 40-year-old man from Kavadarci, identified as L.A., was arrested on March 29, 2025, at 23:30 by the Kavadarci Police Department. He faces charges of drunk driving, failing to yield to pedestrians, and driving under a court-ordered ban.

L.A. was apprehended while driving a “Passat” with Bulgarian license plates at high speed on “Ilindenska” street in Kavadarci. He failed to stop for pedestrians at a designated crosswalk, prompting police intervention. His vehicle was temporarily seized.

Upon inspection, authorities discovered that L.A. was prohibited from driving “B” category vehicles due to an existing ban. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol content of 1.7 per mille.

L.A. is currently detained at the police station, and the public prosecutor has been notified. Following a thorough investigation, appropriate charges will be filed against him.
