A 40-year-old man from Kavadarci, identified as Lj.A., was arrested on March 29, 2025, at 23:30 by Kavadarci police officers for several traffic violations.

Lj.A. was caught speeding on “Ilindenska” street in Kavadarci while driving a “Passat” with Bulgarian license plates and failing to yield to pedestrians at a designated crosswalk. Police stopped him and impounded his car temporarily, in accordance with Article 344, paragraph 2 of the Law on Road Traffic Safety.

Further investigation revealed that Lj.A. was driving under a suspended “B” category license and had a blood alcohol content of 1.7 per mille.

Lj.A. is currently in police custody, and the public prosecutor has been notified. After complete documentation of the case, relevant charges will be filed against him.
