Justice Minister Igor Filkov emphasized that an independent judicial system is essential for the rule of law and public trust, marking March 31 as the Day of Macedonian Justice.

Filkov argues that the judiciary needs the resources and skills to establish an effective, open, and responsible system guaranteeing justice for everyone.

The Minister believes that the rule of law should be a practical reality in all legal settings, fostering justice and accountability.

He also noted that the competence and ethical standards of legal professionals, including judges, prosecutors, and other court personnel, are vital for delivering prompt, effective, and equitable justice.
