The Roma community enriches the nation’s cultural and social fabric through its unique culture, language, music, and customs, forming an integral part of our shared heritage, according to Assembly President Afrim Gashi’s message for International Roma Day on April 8. The day celebrates the Roma people’s rich culture, tradition, and history while serving as a reminder of the need for social inclusion, equal opportunities, and human rights.
As representatives, there’s an obligation to advance the rights and position of the Roma community by ensuring equal opportunities for a dignified life.
The goal is a society that respects differences, allows individuals to reach their potential, and fosters harmony and understanding, and this holiday should reinforce the pursuit of a just and equal society, inspiring continued dedication towards a better future for all.
