The Faculty of Forest Sciences, Landscape Architecture and Eco-engineering “Hans Em” at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje will host international lectures and a workshop focused on creating forests using the Miyawaki Method from April 15 to 16, 2025. The event will take place at the Faculty.

On April 15, Professor Emeritus Kazue Fujiwara from Yokohama National University, Japan, a student of Professor Miyawaki, the founder of the method, will deliver a lecture in person. Professor Emeritus Elgene Owen Box from the University of Georgia, USA, and Motoharu Nochi, founder and director of the “Midorization” project, will also present lectures physically.

Furthermore, three experts actively involved in Miyawaki method greening projects in Japan, Thailand, and Europe will give virtual presentations.

On April 16, a grove will be planted in the Faculty’s dendropark using the Miyawaki methodology. This practical session will be conducted in partnership with the Public Enterprise for Forest Management “National Forests” and the Gardening and Operational Center “Foja KO” from Skopje.

The official language for the international lectures and workshop will be English.
