International Art Exhibition Opens at Museum of Contemporary Art

The exhibition “Forms That Fly, International Artists in French Collections” opens tonight at 8 p.m. at the Museum of Contemporary Art – Skopje, showcasing works by forty renowned artists from the MoCA-Skopje collection and four current artists from the MoCA Lyon collection.

The exhibition highlights artists from around the world who migrated to Paris after World War II and formed international art communities, featuring significant works from the Museum of Contemporary Art – Skopje collection by artists like Carlos Cruz-Diez, Hisao Domoto, Ana-Eva Bergman, Piotr Kowalski, Zoran Mušić, and Enrique Pésère.

The exhibition also premieres a selection of works by contemporary authors from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon, including Jasmina Cibic, Daniele Valle-Cligner, Ange Leccia, and Shirouk Hrièche, further encouraging reflection on artist migration and the importance of cultural exchange.

Tihomir Topuzovski, acting Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art-Skopje, Philippe Marcheteau, First Counselor at the French Embassy, ​​and Mathieu Lelièvre, responsible for the “Collections” department at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon and curator of the exhibition, will open the exhibition. The curator is Mathieu Lelièvre, Director of the Collections Department at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon.
