Authorities in Kozle have uncovered an illegal construction project where residents, approved for a pitched roof, were found building four new apartments instead. The Mayor of Karposh Municipality, Stevcho Jakimovski, has cautioned citizens against undertaking such ventures, emphasizing the active presence of inspectors and the potential loss of invested funds.
An inspection conducted on Kozle Street no. 17 revealed that the construction deviated significantly from the approved project. The space was divided into four sections, equipped with provisions for kitchens and toilets, indicating an attempt to create additional apartments and illegally add another floor to the building.
A report has been prepared, which will be followed by a demolition order or an obligation for the residents to dismantle the illegal construction themselves. Jakimovski urged citizens to adhere strictly to building permits, warning against investing in projects that violate the law.
The Municipality of Karposh continues its inspections, with the building on Nikola Parapunov Street and the garage space there next in line.
