Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski announced that the government will provide students with 250 euros to purchase electronic devices starting in September. The initiative aims to support approximately 55,000 students at both private and state universities.
The funds for the electronic devices have been budgeted, and the General Secretariat is currently defining the criteria for eligibility. A key requirement for receiving the assistance is semester certification.
The government is awaiting the start of the new academic year and the enrollment of freshmen to ensure they can certify their first semester before receiving the funds. This measure is intended to help students acquire necessary technology for their studies.
Mickoski emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises, highlighting the participation of several political parties in the initiative. He acknowledged the need to address past issues and prioritize various needs.
