The government reports significant salary increases for healthcare workers, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff. In just six months, healthcare salaries have increased by 4,815 denars net for all healthcare workers, with nurses receiving as much as 6,200 denars.

The first increase occurred with the October 2024 salary, followed by another increase of 2,500 denars for all employees in the public healthcare sector with the March salary paid in April.

The government states this demonstrates a restoration of dignity for doctors and nurses, who are guardians of citizens’ health. Their goal is to improve healthcare services and healthcare for patients.

Through dialogue with healthcare unions, they reached a historic agreement for healthcare salary increases to potentially reach as high as 50 percent in the next four years. The government believes that with work, effort, and reforms, they are bringing results that mean greater motivation, dedication, stability, and quality in healthcare.
