Government Allocates Funds for Healthcare Salary Increases

The Government has announced the allocation of 550 million denars from the state budget to support salary growth in the healthcare sector. This initiative aims to improve the financial well-being of healthcare professionals and boost their motivation.

In the past six months, healthcare workers, including nurses, technical staff, and administrative personnel, have already experienced a second salary increase of 5 percent. This has resulted in doctors’ salaries rising by 4,815 denars and nurses’ salaries increasing by 6,200 denars.

Furthermore, the Budget includes approximately 4.5 billion denars to raise the capitation point for primary care doctors. For doctors in general medicine and gynecology, the capitation point will increase from 75 to 100 denars, representing a 33 percent rise. For dentistry, the increase will be from 61 to 75 denars, or 23 percent.

The Government states its commitment to supporting the healthcare system and motivating primary care doctors. The long-term goal is to achieve a 50 percent increase in healthcare salaries by the end of the current mandate.
