The director of a geriatrics hospital, Muhsin Arifi, was arrested along with an intermediary for allegedly demanding and receiving a 20,000 euro bribe in exchange for accommodating a sick and immobile person in the institution. Public Security Bureau Director Aleksandar Janev announced the arrest, emphasizing that such illegal activities will not be tolerated, especially during a time of national mourning. The coordinated action was carried out by the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption and the Ministry of the Interior. Arifi is suspected of receiving a bribe and receiving a reward for illegal influence.
