Four individuals were detained by police in the Tetovo and Gostivar regions between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM yesterday for reckless driving. The detentions followed a speeding control action conducted by the Tetovo Road Traffic Safety Police Station and the Gostivar Road Traffic Safety Police Department. Authorities said the drivers were exceeding the speed limit.

F.S. (29) from Palatica, Tetovo area, was caught driving a Mercedes at 177 km/h on the Tetovo-Skopje highway near the Zhelino toll station, where the speed limit is 100 km/h.

Dzh.A. (36) from Skopje was apprehended for driving an Audi at 156 km/h on the Tetovo-Gostivar highway near the Debreshki overpass in Gostivar, where the speed limit is 80 km/h.

F.Lj. (25) from Tetovo was caught speeding in an Audi at 106 km/h on “Vidoe Smilevski Bato” Boulevard in Tetovo, where the speed limit is 50 km/h.

S.S. (45) from Tetovo was found driving an Audi at 160 km/h on the Tetovo-Gostivar highway near the Debreshki overpass in Gostivar, where the speed limit is 80 km/h.

All four individuals were taken into police custody and will face charges under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code.
