Financial Police Uncover 30 Million Euros in Crime, Prime Minister Announces

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski announced that the Financial Police have uncovered 30 million euros worth of crime in the past nine months. This revelation, made on the day of the Financial Police Administration, signals a significant step forward in combating crime and laying the groundwork for change.

Mickoski emphasized the government’s commitment to restoring justice and building strong institutions. He stated that the government aims to protect honest citizens and bring those who have stolen from the state to justice.

From September 1, 2024, to June 10, 2025, the Financial Police filed 36 criminal charges, uncovering damages and illegal property gains totaling nearly 30 million euros. Mickoski stressed that this money belongs to the citizens and demonstrates the protection of the state’s image.

He highlighted that these figures represent specific abuses and individuals who treated the state as their personal property. Mickoski affirmed that in the pursuit of justice, there is no consideration of party or ethnic affiliation.

The Prime Minister underscored that the fight against crime requires collective effort and is essential for the nation’s future. He asserted that the country has grown tired of waiting and that this represents a crucial opportunity for change. He added the government is not only focused on economic development but also on creating a society free from fear and impunity. Mickoski sent a clear message of accountability to those who have abused trust.
