DUI’s Attempt to Erase Past Misdeeds with Dubious Standards

VLEN criticizes DUI’s attempt to use a new ‘international standard’ as a smokescreen to conceal two decades of corruption, theft, and deceit, questioning who within DUI would genuinely implement such a standard.

VLEN points to figures like Ramiz Merko, facing numerous criminal charges; Artan Grubi and Prparim Bajrami, accused of spreading ‘gambling’; Bujar Osmani, alleged to have favored associates with rent-a-car tenders; Blerim Bedzeti, criticized for destructive policies alongside Danela Arsovska in Skopje; and the potential involvement of millionaire Drin Ahmeti and Ismail Jahoski in dubious schemes.

According to VLEN, this initiative is not a genuine effort to combat corruption but rather an attempt to legitimize it and erase the public’s experience of the past 20 years.

VLEN asserts that Albanians need real justice and accountability, not superficial certifications, emphasizing that the party’s accumulated wealth, questionable tenders, and damaged aspirations cannot be erased by mere paperwork.
