The Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) has strongly condemned the systematic exclusion of Albanians from state institutions in North Macedonia, citing the Food and Veterinary Agency as a prime example where no Albanians are employed out of 21 total employees. According to Ahmeti’s party, this discriminatory practice is reaching alarming levels and violates principles of equality and fair representation.
The DUI emphasizes that this exclusion contradicts the Ohrid Framework Agreement and the fundamental values of European integration. They view the situation at the Food and Veterinary Agency, which operates with taxpayer funds from all citizens including Albanians, as unacceptable and condemnable.
The party demands an immediate institutional response and an independent investigation. The goal is to ensure fair and proportional representation of Albanians at all levels of public administration, from management to executive positions. DUI asserts that discrimination should not be normalized, and silence on the matter is unacceptable. Equality, according to the party, is irreplaceable.
