A driver who struck a 28-year-old man riding an electric scooter in Skopje and then fled the scene has been apprehended by police. The incident occurred on “Mendeleeva” Street in Skopje.
The scooter driver, S.K., sustained serious bodily injuries in the traffic accident. After receiving emergency medical assistance, he was transported to the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Center in Skopje for treatment.
According to reports, the accident occurred at 11:53 a.m. It involved a “Fiat” passenger vehicle, driven by S.A., 33, also from Skopje, and the electric scooter.
Following the collision, S.A. left the scene in the “Fiat.”
While police were conducting their investigation at the site of the accident, A.A. arrived with the involved “Fiat” vehicle. A.A. told the authorities that his brother, S.A., was driving the car at the time of the accident.
S.A. was subsequently located by law enforcement. A public prosecutor has been notified of the incident.
Under the prosecutor’s instructions, the “Fiat” vehicle has been seized for a technical inspection. Authorities will file a report against S.A. concerning the traffic accident.
