A 24-year-old driver from Ohrid has been identified as the person who struck a 59-year-old pedestrian on Goce Delchev Street last night and subsequently fled the scene. The incident resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian, identified as E.S., also from Ohrid.

Police officers from the Ohrid Police Station for Road Traffic Safety identified the vehicle as a Volkswagen Up with Ohrid registration plates. The driver was identified as S.P. (24) from Ohrid.

Authorities confirmed that a breathalyzer test revealed no alcohol in either the driver’s or the pedestrian’s system.

An inspection of the scene was conducted by a team from the Ohrid Police Department, authorized by a public prosecutor. Once the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against S.P.
