A driver was arrested in Skopje after causing a traffic accident while driving under the influence of alcohol, resulting in serious injuries to another person.

The Skopje Police Department reported that the accident occurred around 4:00 PM on July 6, 2025, at the intersection of “Serbia” Blvd., “Treta Makedonska Brigada” Blvd., and “12 Makedonska Brigada” Blvd. The accident involved a “Citroen” driven by I.K. (60) from Skopje and an “Opel Antara” driven by F.K. (23) from Skopje.

I.K. sustained serious bodily injuries in the accident and was taken to the hospital. F.K. and his passenger, P.B. (19) from Skopje, sustained bodily injuries and also received medical attention.

Following an investigation, authorities determined that I.K. was driving with a blood alcohol content of 3.08 per mille. He was taken into custody at 6:30 PM and will face criminal charges.
