A 47-year-old man from Kriva Palanka was arrested yesterday by local police after being caught driving at twice the legal speed limit. T.M. was apprehended while driving a BMW on the road leading to the village of Ginovce.

The incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. when a police patrol clocked the driver traveling at 142 kilometers per hour. The speed limit on that section of the road is 70 kilometers per hour.

The Ministry of Interior stated that the driver was immediately taken into custody and detained at the police station. Authorities are preparing to file charges against him for reckless driving after a complete documentation of the case.

A criminal complaint will be filed against T.M. under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, pertaining to reckless driving offenses.
