Domen Prevc of Slovenia set a new world record in ski jumping at the World Cup season’s final event in Planica with a jump of 254.5 meters. This surpasses the previous record of 253.5 meters held by Stefan Kraft of Austria since March 2017.
In the Planica competition, Prevc’s jump of 245 meters in the first series, contributed to his overall second-place finish with a total of 475 points.
Anže Lanišek, also from Slovenia, secured first place with 482.1 points, following jumps of 247.5 and 241.5 meters. Andreas Wellinger of Germany finished third with 455.8 points, after jumps of 236.5 meters.
