Over 100 packages of textiles and other goods were discovered in a vehicle at the state border near Tanushevci, Skopje, leading to an arrest. Authorities also found more than 130 boxes of footwear and five cubic meters of cut firewood in abandoned buildings nearby.

The Ministry of Interior reported that the discovery occurred during a control check of a “Volkswagen” van with Kosovo license plates on the Kosovo side of the border.

Following the vehicle inspection, police officers searched abandoned buildings in Tanushevci and located the boxes of footwear and the firewood.

A public prosecutor has been notified. The footwear will be given to the Agency for Seized Property, and the firewood will be given to the Forest Police. An investigation is underway to clarify the details of the case, and a report will be filed accordingly.
