The Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) has announced disciplinary proceedings against FC Shkendija due to the inappropriate behavior of their fans.
The fans are accused of inhuman behavior and disrespect for the minute of silence held to honor the victims of a tragic accident.
The FFM statement emphasized that this act constitutes an unacceptable disrespect for the deceased and their families, with the federation vowing to take appropriate measures according to the rules to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The federation made it clear that such inhumanity has no place in football and pointed to Shkendija Arachinovo as an example of a club that demonstrated dignity and respect for the victims and the overall situation in the country.
The FFM has previously taken action against inappropriate behavior, as demonstrated by their decision to empty the stands with visiting fans in Struga a few weeks ago, underscoring that this policy will be applied to everyone without exception.
The federation concluded by reaffirming that football must remain a sport of respect and dignity.
