The Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones has achieved a high ranking in the latest report on the application of the integrity system, securing 15th place out of 50 institutions evaluated. This signifies a considerable improvement from an “average” to a “good” level compared to 2023.
This progress is attributed to various initiatives, including the adoption of guidelines for preventing conflicts of interest, managing gifts and hospitality, a Code of Ethics, and revisions to regulations on official vehicle use and official travel. Furthermore, training sessions were conducted to enhance awareness of corruption prevention and the integrity system.
Integrity is crucial for building strong institutions and fostering public trust. The integrity system serves as a strategic tool for preventing corruption and promoting transparency by harmonizing the implementation of laws, ethical standards, and policies. This creates a well-defined framework and effective mechanisms for their enforcement and protection.
The Directorate remains committed to further enhancing and fully implementing the integrity system, demonstrating its dedication to lawful, independent, impartial, ethical, responsible, and transparent operations. This commitment aims to safeguard its reputation and mitigate any potential risks or doubts regarding the occurrence and escalation of corruption.
