Actor Dimitrija Doksevski has been chosen as the new director of the “Manaki Brothers” International Cinematographers’ Film Festival. This decision was made at a formal Assembly of the Association of Film Workers (DFRM).
Doksevski’s term will cover the next two editions of the festival, as per the DFRM statute. He presented the Draft Program for the festival and committed to maintaining the high standing of this international cinematographers’ film festival, according to DFRM.
Born in Skopje on July 28, 1983, Doksevski is a Macedonian film and theater actor, screenwriter, and producer. He graduated with an acting degree from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje in 2006 and earned a master’s degree in directing from the same faculty in 2014.
His professional career began at the Macedonian National Theater in 2006, where he worked until 2011. He then briefly worked at the Kumanovo Theater from 2011 to 2013. In 2014, he joined the Drama Theater Skopje, where he is currently an active member.
Besides his work on the main stage, Doksevski has been involved in performances on other theater stages across the country, as well as in film and television projects both domestically and internationally. He has also been involved in organizing and producing theatrical performances, organizing musical events, and producing short films and feature videos.
