Deputy President of the Government of Macedonia, Arben Fetai, participated in the Regional Dialogue on Good Governance Policies and Women’s Leadership in Southeast Europe, organized in Sarajevo by the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative.
Addressing regional leaders, Fetai highlighted the important role of women in governance, stating that their leadership improves transparency, accountability, and inclusive decision-making. Gender equality, he noted, is a driving force for better governance, not merely a formality.
Fetai urged men in leadership to be active allies in dismantling stereotypes, creating opportunities, and driving systemic change, rather than passive supporters. He emphasized that integrating gender equality into public policies, ensuring accountability, and fostering a culture of inclusive leadership are crucial for creating institutions that serve all citizens.
