David Beckham Discusses His Experiences With Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

David Beckham has once again opened up about his obsessive-compulsive disorder, revealing how it affects his family life. While promoting his nutritional supplement brand, Beckham shared that his organizational habits sometimes irritate his wife, Victoria, and their children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.

Beckham acknowledged his meticulous nature, stating it can be tiring and occasionally bothersome to his family. He jokingly tells his children that without him, their home would lack cleanliness, organization, and they would be forgetful. During the presentation, Beckham even rearranged a pyramid of bottles to ensure perfect alignment, illustrating his obsessive-compulsive tendencies.

In the past, Beckham has admitted to staying up late to clean and organize their home after everyone else is asleep. He also mentioned his daily ritual of cleaning used candles and once playfully chided Victoria for misplacing salt.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder, an anxiety disorder, involves persistent, intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors. Individuals with this condition are often aware of the irrationality of their actions but feel compelled to perform them. It is estimated that approximately one percent of the global population, around 70 million people, experiences obsessive-compulsive disorder.
